QuarterCall Data
Every NCUA Form 5300 Call Report from 2019Q1, republished as Parquet at https://data.quartercall.com. Free, no account, amendments included. Read it in place with DuckDB,
or fetch the files with anything that speaks HTTPS.
SELECT cu_number, account_value AS total_assets
FROM read_parquet('https://data.quartercall.com/curated/accounts/quarter=2026Q1/data.parquet')
WHERE account_code = 'A010'
ORDER BY total_assets DESC
LIMIT 10; The query names the file by its URL, and nothing else is needed. The quickstart explains what it returns.
What is here
- The facts: every account code every credit union filed, one file per quarter, in accounts; the values that are not numbers are in accounts_text.
- Who filed: NCUA's Credit Union Profile, one row per credit union per quarter, in profiles.
- Every filing held, amendments and the filings they replaced, in the submissions index.
- What exists and how fresh it is: the manifest, which a script reads first to find each quarter's files.
Before you trust a number
Read the gotchas: the ways NCUA's data differs from what an engineer fluent in SQL would expect, each with the query that shows it. The contract is the authoritative specification these pages are based on, and the changelog lists what has changed and when.
